Kirsten Nielsen, MD
Kirsten Nielsen, MD, is a board-certified neurologist who completed her medical degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She performed a fellowship there in epilepsy.
She specializes in epilepsy monitoring, treatment and research and is one of only two fellowship trained epileptologists in the west Denver region. Lutheran Medical Center offers the latest in epilepsy monitoring equipment including specially trained nurses in neurology, 24/7 monitoring of patients by video and audio, and continuous video EEG monitoring, the gold standard to characterize seizure-like spells.

William Bentley, MD
William Bentley, MD is a board-certified neurologist with a special interest in stroke. He completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He completed his postgraduate training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Bentley has been named a “Top Doctor” nine consecutive years by his peers in Denver’s 5280 magazine! Dr. Bentley is an active member of several neurology and stroke associations for Colorado and the Rocky Mountain area. He is also an associate clinical professor of neurology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Patrick Bushard, MD
Dr. Patrick Bushard is a board-certified neurologist who completed his medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine. He furthered his postgraduate training at Barnes Jewish Hospital where he completed his internship in internal medicine, residency in neurology, fellowship in stroke and cerebrovascular disease, and served as chief resident.

Dr. Kara Beasley, DO
Movement Disorder Neurosurgeon
Dr. Beasley completed her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina. She then completed a dual degree in medicine and master's degree in biomedical ethics at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. She went on to complete a general neurosurgery residency at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.
She completed fellowships in stereotactic radiosurgery at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ, and functional and restorative neurosurgery at the Cleveland Clinic. While at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Beasley participated in a special concentration in neuroethics. She has also completed a clinical scholarship in advanced epilepsy surgical techniques.
Dr. Beasley is one of the only dually credentialed neurosurgeon bioethicists in the world. She is fully trained as a general neurosurgeon in cranial and spinal trauma, endoscopic and open tumor surgery, radiosurgery, complex disorders of the spine including tumor and degenerative spinal disease, epilepsy surgery and neuromodulation.
