Integrative Health Services
Integrative therapies are available to inpatients at Good Samaritan Medical Center as well as to the community at our outpatient location. Our center focuses on the whole person by bridging conventional medical treatments with a variety of rich healing traditions to enhance and enrich health and well-being.
Integrative therapies offered are supported by clinical research, which indicates these therapies help reduce stress and anxiety, reduce the need for pain medications, and improve outcomes.

Massage therapy is a healing art that relieves stress and tension in the muscular system to improve flexibility, relieve pain, and stimulate feelings of well-being and relaxation.
Our centers offer various types of massage, including prenatal and postnatal massage.
Our nationally certified acupuncturists facilitate the healing process through the use of classical acupuncture, lifestyle counseling, Chinese dietary therapy, and breathing techniques. All of these can help clients achieve their goals.
Herbal Medication Consultation
Our consultant pharmacist reviews client medical history, symptoms, use of medications and natural products such as herbs, vitamins, and nutrition supplements. Clients are provided with information and education intended to optimize their decisions regarding the use of drugs and herbal therapies.
Nutritional changes can make a positive difference in one's life. A registered dietitian will review and evaluate your current eating habits, discuss personal weight goals, and/or special health-related nutrition concerns.
Healing Touch™ and Nurse Consultation
Individual sessions vary according to wellness goals and healthcare needs. The integrative nurse and the client explore the potential for integration of complementary therapies into a conventional medical plan. Ongoing sessions may include healing touch treatments.
Our counselors see clients as whole, healthy individuals. The process of holistic counseling looks at the mind, body, and spirit of a person—as well as the environment in which the person lives. Counselors at our hospital have advanced training in the area of holistic psychotherapy enabling them to facilitate discovery, growth, and healing.
Reflexology is a specialized massage, which originated with the Chinese. It is based on the idea that stimulation of particular points on the feet and hands affect specific zones. Reflexology can relieve tension and pain as well as enhance circulation in corresponding regions of your body.
