Cpl. Jenkins is on his third deployment in five years with the Marines. "It's been really tough, but we believe in what he's fighting for so we make those sacrifices and pray that he'll come home," said Tanksley. On the day after their second child's birth, one prayer was answered. "Look who's on the TV," said Tanskley to the couple's son Dillon. "It's daddy," he said. Freedom Calls Foundation arranged a video conference so Jenkins could see his new baby girl. "I miss them a lot - more than anything," he said. From their hospital room at Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette, the family got to catch up and see each other. "I'm so glad that we got to see him. It's the first chance we've had, so I definitely appreciate everybody's efforts they've put forth - it's made a big difference for us," said Tanksley. Jenkins hopes to be back home in Colorado in a couple of months. The Freedom Calls Foundation keeps thousands of military families connected each year thanks to public donations.
